Solar Panel Installation Jobs
looking for a job that deals with solar panel instillation?
I have 20 years experience in welding/plumbing and have decided to go towards the industry dealing with solar panel installation. How can I actually find a job dealing with this sort of mechanics?
Your plumber’s credential will be very helpful in getting a job installing solar water heaters. I would suggest looking in the phone book or on the internet for solar companies, and especially looking for water heating. If you can get a job at one of those, you can get on-the-job experience with thermal panels, and some of that expertise will carry over into photovoltaic panels if the time comes for you to branch out. For example, both types want a southern exposure, and certain tilt, and you have the same issues with mounting and avoiding roof vents, chimneys, etc.
Just so you know, unless you own the company, I believe solar installation pays less than plumbing.
