Solar Panel Maintenance Snow

Can you install solar panels if they’ll get snowed on?
I am looking to install solar panels on an old (1861) building in Northern Ontario. The only problem is that the building will be closed from mid-October to mid-March. Is there a brand/type of solar panels that can survive the snow and ice or do all solar panels require constant maintenance. Also if it snows will the snow melt off and the solar panels still be able to function? Thank you.
The building is a museum, it needs to stay heated to protect the precious artifacts that it contains/has on display.
They should hold up just fine to the weather, however they will produce very little if any power while they are covered. If you want them to continue to give power to the structure during this time you have to knock the snow off. also as far north as you are the days will be very long from May till mid august so they should function fine.
Why Solar Power?
