Solar Panel Shingles
SOLAR POWER SHINGLES?
Hello,
I’m doing research on solar power shingles, not panels, and I am having trouble finding prices of shingles and companies.
I know Uni-solar is very popular, but I can’t find the price of their products.
I would also like to know some other companies’ prices of shingles, you know, for comparison.
Also, please give any sites with info about solar shingles and materials they can be made out of. I know they can be made out of silicon, but is that good? Will we run out of silicon if we convert a large amount of energy supply to solar-shingles?

I recently had a system installed and one of the companies I contacted quoted me shingles. I don’t remember exact numbers, but they cost more than panels and were less efficient. I believe the reason given was the lack of airspace below them increased overheating and reduced production. I put a link to the company that offered the panels.
